Vera Mulyani - Director Born and raised in Jakarta, Vera worked as a translator for Paris Match and Sunday Magazine journalists in Indonesia. She had her first exhibition for her painting and photography in Hong Kong [1997]. She then moved to Paris, France [1998]. Master Degreed in Architecture by French Government, DPLG [2007] for her thesis research and analyse “fuck da rules”; about Manhattan city planning. Now living in New York, vera stays in photography, architecture, and graduates in film making as a director [2009]. She presents her first short film “Forgotten Land” in Cannes Festival 2008. Since that time, she writes, produces and directs some more short films [2008-2009]: "Buried Future", "Honey Money Moon", "Egg Drops" and her most recent one "Elah and The Moon", Feb 2009, screening at Tribeca, New York City, Dublin, and Cannes Festival 2009. Matt Bernard - Production Manager Matt works as a PA in commercials, fashion photography, and film, and has served as a 1st AD, Camera Op, AC, and Grip in several short films and music videos. Along with collaborator Kenneth Anderson, he curates and hosts a short film screening series showcasing underground East Village and Brooklyn filmmakers. He is entering post-production on his first short film, “American in War Time”, a surrealist socio-political meditation shot in 16mm. He currently resides in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, and plays striker and midfield on a team in his local latin soccer league. |
Julia Garner - Alicia Julia is a New York City native. Elah and the Moon is her first film. She is fifteen years old and is currently a freshman in high school. She studied acting in the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and is currently studying at the T. Schreiber Studio. She is studying film acting with Peter Miner and also studies acting privately with Pamela Scott from the T. Schreiber Studio and speech and diction with Page Clements. In Elah and the Moon Julia developed her English accent portraying the character Alicia. Julia is also an aspiring singer and takes voice lessons with the opera singer Emily Nicholas. |

Dietlinde Turban - Selene Dietlinde Turban Maazel’s first stage appearance at the age of 19 as Gretchen in Goethe’s Faust in the Residenz-Theatre in Munich brought her national fame. In rapid succession she starred in a series of important theatre productions as well as films and plays filmed for television. Ms. Turban won the coveted Bambi Award by popular vote as Best Actress of the Year (1983) in Germany. Her film credits include the part of Eurydice in Jean-Pierre Ponnelle’s Orfeo, a starring role in the American thriller Bloodline, and in the World War II story Mussolini and I, playing opposite Anthony Hopkins. In October 2004 she premiered Christopher Rothwell’s one woman play Constantly Risking Absurdity in Castleton and New York and was also invited with this play to Salzburg, Austria, for the inauguration of the Austrian American Foundation’s Schloss Arenberg. He began studying to be a director of photography, but by the end of the course he had found his true niche in the realm of audio and music.
